NetUse v1 (Beta)

MAP WINDOWS DRIVE LETTER TO FTP SERVER

DESCRIPTION

NetUse is a "FREE" utility that allows mapping a Windows drive letter to a remote FTP server.

FEATURES
  • Map any FTP server to a Windows drive letter.

  • Configure multiple drives and configure them to map automatically

  • Vebose logging for debugging

HOW IT WORKS

NetUse runs in the Microsoft Windows system tray and leverages the ability to map a network drive with a WebDav server to proxy requests with a FTP server via the Windows shell. When NetUse maps a drive it creates a WebDav server via the open source library WebDavSharp.Server and then establishes a mapped drive to it using the Windows NetAddConnection API. NetUse then proxies the WebDav requests to a "store" implementation using the open source FluentFTP library for remote file operations. NetUse is designed to support additional file stores beyond FTP for future enhancements.
